State of Hawaii Says Obama “Birth Certificate” Not Valid

May 15, 2009 at 10:08 am 97 comments

Factcheck.org, the “unbiased” truth seeker that has published Obama’s Certification of Live Birth that they say proves Obama was born in America, in “truth” is operated by the totally biased Annenberg Foundation that gave Obama and Bill Ayres $110 million to spend on improving education. But Obama and Ayres actually spent the $110 million teaching Chicago kids to vote for his sponsor Mayor Daley. The Annenberg Foundation did a follow up study that proved Obama and Ayres did not improve educational test scores by any amount.

Want proof of Annenberg’s bias and dishonesty?  Annenberg’s factcheck.org says that Ayres and Obama did not do know each other then!! Even though the Annenberg Foundation knows that Bill Ayres founded the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (or “CAC”) and hired Obama to be its President for five years, all documented by the Corporate Minutes of the CAC that U. of Illinios Prof. William Ayres  donated to the archives section of the University of Illinois Library at its Chicago campus.   Ie., this is not web chatter, it is documented in the University of Illinois Library Archives!!  Commenters are calling me a liar. Go to Chicago and read it yourself!  Annenberg certainly knows the name of the President of a group to which it gave $110 million, and that name is Barack Obama! So Annenberg has proved, with its own contradictory published statements, that Annenberg and its website factcheck.org tell lies to benefit Obama, and that its own website factcheck.org publishes lies.

Back to the Obama/Factcheck.org “Certificate of Live Birth.”

Hawaii’s official birth certificate is the “Certificate of Live Birth” which is different from the “Certification of Live Birth”. Changing the “e” to “ion” is all the difference in the world. Obama and factcheck.org only publish the “ion” version, which is merely a computer printout, and not a birth certificate. How else are they different? Read and weep.

Annenberg’s factcheck.org continues to publish, even today,  Obama “Certification of Live Birth,” and Annenberg claims falsely that this proves Obama was born in the USA.

Annenberg’s corrupt factcheck, org published thousands of words about this but never once says that their document id the “ion” version, not the genuine “e” version. The most tragically comic statements on the corrupt factcheck.org is they quote people who “have seen” the “e” version.

Golly, Molly, if people “have seen” it,  why won’t Obama produce it?

Only one answer: it doesn’t exist. You would think by now, after he has been President so long, the FBI could have cooked up a good forgery for him? Don’t worry, eventually some liberal progressive totalitarian creep will forge one, but the fact that they went so long without producing it proves that no valid birth certificatE ever existed or they would have produced it.

Here is what the State of Hawaii’s official government websites publish about the matter:

QUOTE: “The Certification of Live Birth is a legal document, but it is TOTALLY INADEQUATE when it comes to proving an individual was born in Hawaii.

The State of Hawaii DOES NOT EVEN ACCEPT the Certification of Live Birth as valid proof that an individual was born in Hawaii.

The Hawaii Department of Homelands, which administers programs to encourage property ownership for native Hawaiians states the following on its website.

In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found ONLY on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green. This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth(a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL. [Emphasis Mine].

The bottom line is that the Certification of Live Birth can be erroneous. It has been reported that it was not uncommon for foreigners residing in Hawaii to bring their infant children to the Clerk of the Court, swear they were born in Hawaii and have actual Certificates of Live Birth issued to their children.

It has even been reported that foreigners residing in Hawaii, in some cases, produced birth certificates from foreign countries and the State of Hawaii still issued Hawaiian Certificates of Live Birth to the infants in question.

What happens if it is proven he is really not a citizen of the USA??
Can he be prosecuted and imprisoned for impersonation and all the things he has done in the name of the ‘President’ be null and void? I know all things cannot be undone, like all the bail out monies, but what about the health care bill etc.?

        I doubt anyone knows.

But it seems unlikely that anyone will ever need to know, since there’s zero evidence to support the idea that he’s not a native-born citizen.

The birth certificate issue just will not go away, mostly because Obama will not come out and prove the skeptics wrong. The resistance to the m-O-ssiah is mounting, as I begin to document in the following post:

Your information is not accurate about what Hawaii requires for application..

On the website you will see it says.. “Primary Documents

Birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth and Certifications of Live Birth) and Certificates of Hawaiian Birth are the primary documents used to determine native Hawaiian qualification.”

So they do indeed recognize Certification of Live Birth.

You should keep reading. Hawaii says Certification of Live Birth will delay your application because the State must conduct additional research to determine if you actually were born in Hawaii.

In other words Ceritification of Live Birth is not definitive.

The question remains as this: Since Obama could get the real birth certificate for $30, why is he and his supporters spending hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting demands for the real birth certificate? Duh!

However, being born in Hawaii is not part of the eligibility requirements for a Hawaiian home lands homestead lease. The only requiremnents are that you must ba at least 18 and “You must be a native Hawaiian, defined as “any descendant of not less than one-half part of the blood of the races inhabiting the Hawaiian Islands previous to 1778.” This means, you must have a blood quantum of at least 50 percent Hawaiian.”

That’s far different from “determine if you actually were born in Hawaii.”

However, I’m more interested in the source of your first quote:

Here is what the State of Hawaii’s official government websites publish about the matter:

QUOTE: “The Certification of Live Birth is a legal document, but it is TOTALLY INADEQUATE when it comes to proving an individual was born in Hawaii.

since Google can’t find that at hawaii.gov.

Why is it that he is still in office when there’s so much doubt concerning his place of birth? I just don’t understand how, if what you’re saying is true, he has been permitted to go on. Is there anything being done to bring this to light? Has anyone made headway? I know that there were many suits brought against him across the states, but I’ve heard that many have been denied a fair hearing. How can this be happening? I feel as if we’re living in Russia…or Iran.

Secondly, if you look at any of the decisions on the cases that have been heard, you will see that:

      1. The plaintiffs do not have standing
      2. They cannot show damages
      3. Their arguments are without merit or chance of success (with regards to restraining orders)

There is a fantastic summary of Berg’s lawsuit here:

      http://tesibria.typepad.com/whats_your_evidence/2009/01/berg-v-obama-citizen-lawsuit-status-summary.html

Here is a summary of Hollister v. Soetero:

      http://nativeborncitizen.wordpress.com/2009/03/16/2009-03-16-hollister-v-soetoro-never-submit-a-draft/

As you can see these cases are a complete joke. Anyone can file a frivolous lawsuit in this country. The birthers are doing just that.

Ayers founded the CAC and immediately hired Obama to serve as its President under him.

Together they voted on Board of Directors Resolutions.

Ayers put forth the motion to the Board to Hire Obama as President.
      Obama reported directly to Ayers.

So where does your fantasy about the “the totally biased Annenberg Foundation” come from? Annenburg was founded and run by prominent Republicans. The founder was a Nixon ambassador. His widow, who ran the place until her death this year, was Reagan’s Chief of Protocol, and a McCain supporter.

As for “All documented in the University of Illinois archives”, I’ve read Kurtz’s article, and there’s nothing to support your detailed allegations. Heck, most of his article is “coulda/shoulda/woulda”, all theorizing with no real evidence.

      • 26. ngoldfarb  |  August 9, 2009 at 6:20 pm

Annenberg is dead and all his Republican friends are off the board of directors for years.

It is now run by his brainless widow who has used millions of dollars to build swimming pools on the ocean coast of Southern California. She is infatuated with Bill Ayres.

I am not talking about articles, but about the actual records of the CAC Directors meetings in the University of Illinois Library.
        Go read them yourself.

      • 27. Paulo  |  August 9, 2009 at 7:15 pm

Leonore Annenberg is still alive and managed to endorse McCain in the last election.

      • 28. Twitchy  |  August 10, 2009 at 4:57 am

Actually, the “brainless widow” died earlier this year. She was a McCain supporter.

And what do decisions by the CAC Directors have to do with FactCheck? The CAC doesn’t run Annenburg, they just conned money out of them.

Your article is worthless, because most of it consists of proven lies, and wild, unsubstantiated allegations.

Apparently “Nancy Goldfarb Thinks” is an oxymoron.

No, you never explained where you found anything that said that the State of Hawaii ever stated that the Certification of Live Birth was inadequate as valid proof that an individual was born in Hawaii. All you ever provided was the obsolete DHHL statement that the Certification of Live Birth would require further investigation to establish that you had sufficient native Hawaiian ancestry to qualify for the native homestead program.

“Native Hawaiian ancestry” is not equal to “born in Hawaii”.

      • 36. ngoldfarb  |  August 18, 2009 at 7:20 pm

Boy are you ever an expert at twisting language. Your Acorn name should have been “twisty” instead of “Twitchy.”

It actually said the Certificate of Live Birth that Kool Aid uses is not determinative of place of birth.

So our Cartoon President could have a Certificate of Live Birth if his mother claimed to be a resident of Hawaii during the year preceding his birth.

  • 37. Paulo  |  July 23, 2009 at 11:10 pm

“You should keep reading. Hawaii says Certification of Live Birth will delay your application because the State must conduct additional research to determine IF YOU WERE ACTUALLY BORN IN HAWAII.”[emphasis added] –ngoldfarb

Except that’s not what the link says. “The Certificate of Live Birth generally has more information which is useful for GENEALOGICAL purposes as compared to the Certification of Live Birth…” [emphasis added]. Here’s what else they said: “The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands accepts BOTH Certificates of Live Birth (original birth certificate) and Certifications of Live Birth because they are official government records documenting an individual’s birth.”[emphasis added]

So the difference between the two forms in the case you cited has nothing to do with establishing the actual birth in Hawaii as you claimed. The site says they can establish Hawaiian birth with either the Certification or the Certificate. Your own link betrays you.

The State of Hawaii has deleted the text that I cut and pasted from its site because it embarrased Obama!!!

Even better, we have just learned that Obama’s sister Maya Soetoro, whom Obama, in his first memoir says was born in the Phillipines, also has a “Certificate of Live Birth” from Hawaii.

      Now isn’t that just precious?

      Reply
      • 39. Twitchy  |  August 6, 2009 at 2:51 am

Actually, they deleted it because it was based on material written in 2000, which has been obsolete since the Hawaii Dept of Health stopped issuing copies of the Certificate of Live Birth, sometime after 2001.

As for BO’s sister having a Certification of Live Birth, I’ve been hearing that rumor for over a year now (earliest was that her CoLB was the basis for Obama’s ‘forgery’), and have never seen any verification. Even if she does, it’s meaningless, unless the CoLB says she was born in Hawaii.. By the way, she was born in Indonesia, not the Philippines.

      • 40. Paulo  |  August 6, 2009 at 9:43 pm

From what I have seen Maya Sotero was born in Indonesia. Birthers claimed Obama used her supposed Hawaiian birth certificate to forge his own in another one of their hairbrained theories. They seem to be using that disproven premise to say Maya has a Hawaiian birth certificate.

Please post Maya’s authentic birth certificate jpeg file then or show a link to a legitimate news story that proves she has a valid Hawaii birth certificate.

“The State of Hawaii has deleted the text that I cut and pasted from its site because it embarrased Obama!!!”–ngoldfarb

        ——————————————————————–

Or…maybe the State of Hawaii realized (no doubt in large part due to the birther craze) the information had not been updated since they switched to only issuing COLB’s to Hawaiians. The State of Hawaii no longer issues the “long form” of the birth certificate, so it is reasonable that the State of Hawaii needed to amend the old web page to reflect the change.

If you read the web-page they explain the change.

Another thing that makes your theory less likely is that Hawaii has a Republican administration that supported McCain. I do not see how they would lie and bend over backwards for Obama even remotely as much as the birthers would have you believe.

    ———————————————————–

The State of Hawaii DHHL says nothing like that. Supply a link and prove me wrong. According to this link: http://hawaii.gov/dhhl/applicants/appforms/dhhl/applicants/applyhhl/

    Primary Documents

Birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth and Certifications of Live Birth) and Certificates of Hawaiian Birth are the primary documents used to determine native Hawaiian qualification.

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands accepts both Certificates of Live Birth (original birth certificate) and Certifications of Live Birth because they are official government records documenting an individual’s birth. The Certificate of Live Birth generally has more information which is useful for GENEALOGICAL purposes as compared to the Certification of Live Birth which is a computer-generated printout that provides specific details of a person’s birth. Although original birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth) are preferred for their greater detail, the State Department of Health (DOH) no longer issues Certificates of Live Birth. When a request is made for a copy of a birth certificate, the DOH issues a Certification of Live Birth.” [emphasis mine]

    So
    1. The State of Hawaii accepts a COLB for application to DHHL as you can easily read above and verify using the URL.
    2. The reason the State of Hawaii previously preferred the “Long Form” of the birth certificate was purely for GENEALOGICAL purposes.

There is no reason to keep repeating these lies unless you are truly trying to deceive people.

If I am wrong, submit a link from a state of Hawaii website that somehow corrects the above official information. I won’t be holding my breath.

Other than the fact that the statute did not exist when Obama was born, the Hawaii State Director of Communications for the Department of Health has said:

“If you were born in Bali, for example,” [Janice] Okubo explained, “you could get a certificate from the state of Hawaii saying you were born in Bali. You could not get a certificate saying you were born in Honolulu. The state has to verify a fact like that for it to appear on the certificate…”

        http://washingtonindependent.com/51489/birther-movement-picks-up-steam

So not only was the law not effective at the time Obama was born, the State of Hawaii Department of Health will not just put down any birth location without verification.

The DHHL website never said that “the Certificate of Live Birth that Kool Aid uses is not determinative of place of birth.” You quoted it in your original post!

First of all, it’s not the Certificate of Live Birth. That’s the original birth certificate. You keep calling the Certification of Live Birth a Certificate of Live Birth. I certainly hope that, in your work as a “biomedical scientist”, you pay more attention to correct terminology.

As you quoted, DHHL said “This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth(a computer-generated printout).” It said nothing about place of birth. Place of birth is, and was, irrelevant to the DHHL. All they cared about was how much native Hawaiian ancestry you’ve got.

Place of birth is on the Certification, and is taken directly from the Certificate.

I’m still wondering just what information there is on the Certificate of Live Birth that isn’t on the Certification of Live Birth that was useful to DHHL. I’m inclined to think it was just bureaucratic BS.

I did type Certificate of Live Birth when I meant Certification of Live Birth, because I get so weary of responding to your attempts to confuse the simple issue that Obama ill not supply the real thing, when he can.

You epitimize, idealize, cartoonize the liberal progressive left strategy of hiring a loon to peck away at the truth with word games until the rightous give up out of wariness.

You, however, continue to confuse the Certificate and Certification for your devious, malicious purpose of obuscating that Obama will not produce the actual proof of birth in Hawaii.

The Certification of Live Birth is prima facie evidence that BO was born in Hawaii. In order to contest that, you need actual evidence that he wasn’t born in Hawaii. You’ve got nothing. There’s no reason for BO, or anybody, to produce anything other than the Certification, which is sufficient for all legal purposes. You can get a passport, a drivers license, or anything else with a properly signed and sealed Certification.

Birthers have no factual basis for any of their demands. They’re wackos.

        Thank you for name calling.

I would normally delete comments that descend to your level, but it is good that readers can see you for what you are.

Notice I did not call you names, but politely said that your own comments reveal you!

        Smile.

      • 57. Twitchy  |  August 20, 2009 at 8:04 pm

Yes, when someone gets tired of your repeated nonsense and provides an accurate description of your mental state, you complain about them calling you names. When they try to discuss things rationally it’s “Moron!”, “Raving queer”, and “mozzeralla[sic] brain”, not to mention accusing people of being paid operatives for ACORN.

Apparently “Nancy Goldfarb Thinks” is still an oxymoron.

If you’ve really got an IQ of 188, it’s not evident here. Try actually thinking about the available evidence, instead of repeating the same garbage put out by every wacko conspiracy theorist in the country.

Thank you for showing how low a person you are with your abusive ranting instead of rational discourse.

Twisty, you are a true obama supporter.

      • 59. Twitchy  |  August 22, 2009 at 2:11 pm

Oh, and what makes you think that I’m an Obama supporter? One doesn’t have to support, or even like, BO to be disgusted at what passes for evidence, logic and truth among birthers. Just more evidence of black-and-white thinking on your part. That’s a logical trap.

Birthers are nothing but a lynch mob. Somebody rants and raves and they’re ready to “string ’em up”, without any evidence of guilt whatsoever.

Shame on you for calling people racists because thyey dont agree with you.

Almost every comment you make lowers the level of discourse.

Next you are going to say Professor Gates is a victim of racial profiling, when in fact he and the Messiah are racists.

  • 61. Chapanoke  |  August 21, 2009 at 12:19 pm

You will not find out if the Live-birth birth certificate printed in Hawaii is authentic because of the prejudice there toward President Barack Obama. To resolve the problem of where he was born, one needs to go to Kenya and find out there if there is any evidence of his birth there. Don’t know how this would be done, but if some resources were put on this approach, possibly this matter could be finally put behind us.

They also seem to be the only ones who call him the “Messiah”.

Ngoldfarb: This is a fine blog and excellent post.

I may have missed it, what about the bottom of the certificate of live birth where it reads: “This copy is prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding” ( and then, it looks like some numerical references to statutes which would be important).

Anyway, I’m only adding that in, no need for us to reinvent the wheel. Surely, this has been addrressed.

IOW, you appear to be a victim of Obama Derangement Syndrome, just as many on the left were victims of Bush Derangement Syndrome. I called them idiots and wackos too. “Derangement” indicates a lack of the ability to separate reality from fantasy.

I had an argument with someone that says Obama did indeed show his birth certificate. Can give me the link to the Hawaii website that says that Certification of live birth is not valid. I just looked all I could find was this.
    http://hawaii.gov/dhhl/applicants/appforms/applyhhl

“The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands accepts both Certificates of Live Birth (original birth certificate) and Certifications of Live Birth because they are official government records documenting an individual’s birth. When a request is made for a copy of a birth certificate, the DOH issues a Certification of Live Birth.”

      Yes, isn’t it wonderful.
After the cheater gets the power of the Presidency with the Secret Service and earmarks under his control, a liberal Progressive state like Hawaii changes its laws and website from stating that Obama’s document is not valid for proof of citizenship to a total about face that Obama’s document in the future will be the only document that Hawaii will issue and will recognize. But that change occured only after Obama stole the Presidency!
      Duh!
See the benefits of Progressive Communist totolitarian control and disregard for the Constitution and for the pre-existing law?

        More delusion?

The DHHL website said nothing about “proof of citizenship”. All it was concerned about was proof of Hawaiian ancestry. And it appears that what happened was that the DHHL website wasn’t updated when the DoH changed their policies in 2001. The birther controversy simply drew attention to the fact that the DHHL website was out-of-date.

And it’s birthers that have no respect for the Constitution or the law.

There are numerous lies here, but I thought I would point out one. The reason the State of Hawaii prefers on birth certificate over the other in matters of proving native Hawaiian, has nothing to do with where you were born. It has to do with genealogy. The President was born in Hawaii, but is not a “native” Hawaiian.

The term “Native Hawaiian” refers to those who are descendants of the aboriginal people of Hawaii. There are programs set up for them, and it doesn’t matter if they were born in Hawaii or not.

If people could get their facts straight, maybe we wouldn’t have to continually hear these lies.

Both a Certification of Live Birth and a Certificate of Live Birth are birth certificates. “Birth Certificate” is a generic term used by the people. Obama’s Certification of Live Birth is his original birth certificate. Hawaii has documents with more information, but they are sealed. It does not matter though, because a Certification of Live Birth is a birth certificate.

“The state Department of Health no longer issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said spokeswoman Janice Okubo. The department only issues “certifications” of live births, and that is the “official birth certificate” issued by the state of Hawaii, she said.”

So there is nothing else to show. The released form is his official birth certificate.

You’re responding to a post made over two weeks BEFORE he released the Certificate of Live Birth.

And I suppose the Hawaiian Department of Health is part of this vast conspiracy, since they issued the Certificate and haven’t howled with outrage about the “forgery”.

I pity whoever has to depend on your unbiased use of your so-called intelligence.
