Obama and Congress Must Get Same Health Plan As They Give Us

Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi want the government alternative health plan to be something that they would never give to themselves.
Barack Obama campaigned that the American Citizens should get health coverage “at least as good as we in the Senate have.”
We must hold him to that promise because, look at this email I just received:

You should try getting your facts right. It isn’t ALL of Canada that lacks emergency helicopters — just Quebec Province. If Natasha had been skiing any place else in Canada, she might have survived. If you want to use her case as an example, say that the Quebec minister of health needs to be fired and that Quebec needs to provide emergency helicopter service if they want American tourists to ski there.

If our politicians think Canada’s system is so great I suggest they go there with no preferential treatment for beings U. S. government politicians, officials or whatever you want to call them.

And, to Joyce Tyler….it doesn’t make me feel one bit better to know that a person must have an accident in a particular part of Canada to get help.

What a scurrilous piece of falsehood.
Richardson, her ski instructor, and the ski patrol, decided not to go to the hospital immediately. That decision probably killed her.
It had nothing to do with care available. It had to do with the first aid decision.
Shame on whoever wrote that letter for using this tragic death, and lying about it.

The letter you quote is incorrect. My father, who is now 73, had a stent put in by the National Health Service here in England after his heart attack last year.
No-one is denied appropriate treatment by the NHS because of their age.

… is complete nonsense and factually inaccurate. Taken together with your misreporting of the situation in Canada, one must question your commitment to honesty in your blog. Though it has to be said that your post does reflect the general standard of right wing debate on this very important issue.
